Meanwhile, Obama still hasn’t made a decision on what to do in Afghanistan, instructing his generals and advisers last week to go back to the drawing board. ![]() Michael Capuano, were forced to defend voting for a bill that would curb abortion rights. Joe Liberman (D-Conn.) threatened a filibuster over the dreaded public option, while some Democrats, including Senate candidate Rep. Otherwise, it was a tough week that began with tough questions about where his health-care overhaul was headed. The highlight of Obama’s week may have been the green tea ice cream he had in Japan at the start of his 9-day trip to Asia to talk trade.
